Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the CrossFit254 platform, competition registration, payments and participation in CrossFit254 events.
By using the CrossFit254 website, registering for a competition, making a payment, or participating in an event, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
By accessing or using the CrossFit254 website, creating an account, submitting a competition registration, purchasing an entry, or participating in an event, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the website, complete a registration, make a payment, or participate in a CrossFit254 competition.
CrossFit254 provides a digital platform through which athletes, teams, coaches, organisers, judges, volunteers, spectators, sponsors, and other participants may access competition information, submit registrations, make payments, view schedules, follow results, and communicate with event organisers.
To use the CrossFit254 platform or participate in a competition, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete information.
- Meet the age, fitness, skill, qualification, or category requirements of the selected competition.
- Have legal authority to accept these terms.
- Obtain consent from a parent or guardian where required for a minor participant.
- Comply with all competition rules, safety instructions, venue requirements, and organiser directions.
Certain website features may require you to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information.
- Keeping your login credentials confidential.
- Updating your information when it changes.
- Preventing unauthorised access to your account.
- All activity performed through your account.
You must notify CrossFit254 promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed or used without your permission.
A competition registration is only considered complete when all required participant information has been submitted and the applicable entry fee has been successfully received and confirmed.
Submission of a registration form does not guarantee acceptance where:
- Registration capacity has been reached.
- Payment has not been confirmed.
- Required information or documents are missing.
- The athlete does not meet the category requirements.
- The registration is suspected to be inaccurate, fraudulent, duplicated, or unauthorised.
CrossFit254 or the relevant organiser may review, approve, reject, suspend, or cancel a registration where reasonably necessary.
Athletes and team representatives must ensure that all submitted information is accurate. This includes names, contact information, date of birth, gender, team members, emergency contacts, category selection, gym affiliation, medical information, and payment details.
CrossFit254 is not responsible for problems caused by incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information supplied by a user.
Competition entries may be offered as individual or team registrations. For team entries:
- The person submitting the registration confirms that they are authorised to register all team members.
- All team members must satisfy the relevant competition requirements.
- Team composition must comply with the published division rules.
- Substitutions or changes may require organiser approval and may only be allowed before a stated deadline.
Athletes are responsible for selecting a category or division that matches their age, experience, physical capability, movement proficiency, and competition level.
CrossFit254 or the competition organiser may move, combine, split, reject, or cancel a division where participant numbers, safety requirements, fairness, or event operations make this necessary.
All competition fees, ticket prices, service charges, and applicable taxes will be displayed during registration or checkout.
Payments may be processed through mobile money, card payments, banks, payment gateways, or other approved payment providers.
A registration may remain pending until payment has been verified. Users are responsible for entering the correct payment details and retaining their transaction reference, receipt, or confirmation message.
CrossFit254 is not responsible for delays or failures caused by banks, mobile-money providers, card processors, internet interruptions, incorrect payment details, insufficient funds, or third-party technical problems.
Suspected duplicate or unmatched payments should be reported promptly with the transaction reference and registration details.
Entry fees are subject to the refund, transfer, substitution, and cancellation policy published for the relevant competition.
Unless otherwise stated, registration fees may be non-refundable after confirmation because competition capacity, venue arrangements, staffing, equipment, merchandise, and operational costs may be committed in advance.
Requests for refunds, transfers, substitutions, or category changes must be submitted before the applicable deadline. Approval is not guaranteed and may be subject to administrative charges or availability.
CrossFit254 or the event organiser may change:
- The event date or starting time.
- The venue or competition area.
- The schedule or heat assignments.
- Workouts or movement standards.
- Divisions or categories.
- Judges, officials, sponsors, or service providers.
- Other operational arrangements.
Changes may be necessary because of weather, venue availability, safety concerns, government restrictions, emergencies, technical failures, insufficient participation, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Where an event is postponed or cancelled, any refund, credit, transfer, or replacement arrangement will be communicated by the organiser and handled according to the applicable event policy.
Functional fitness competitions involve strenuous physical activity and may include lifting, running, jumping, pulling, pushing, climbing, gymnastic movements, endurance work, and other demanding exercises.
Each athlete is responsible for assessing whether they are physically and medically able to participate. Athletes should seek appropriate medical advice where they have an injury, illness, medical condition, pregnancy, recent surgery, or any concern about safe participation.
By participating in a competition, athletes acknowledge that sporting and fitness activities involve inherent risks, including physical exhaustion, falls, collisions, equipment failure, muscle strain, injury, illness, disability, property damage, or other harm.
Participants voluntarily accept the ordinary risks associated with competition participation, subject to rights and protections that cannot legally be excluded.
Participants must:
- Follow all safety instructions.
- Use equipment responsibly.
- Inform officials of relevant injuries or emergencies.
- Stop participating when instructed by a judge, medical professional, safety officer, or organiser.
- Avoid conduct that endangers themselves or others.
Where reasonably necessary, organisers may arrange first aid, emergency medical support, transportation, or other assistance.
Any medical or related costs not covered by the organiser remain the responsibility of the participant.
All athletes, coaches, team representatives, spectators, volunteers, judges, and officials are expected to behave respectfully and professionally.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or abuse.
- Threatening, violent, or dangerous behaviour.
- Deliberate interference with another participant.
- Damage to equipment, facilities, or property.
- Fraud, cheating, score manipulation, or false information.
- Unauthorised access to restricted areas or systems.
- Failure to follow organiser, judge, venue, or safety instructions.
A person may be warned, penalised, removed, disqualified, suspended, or banned for breaching these standards.
Athletes must comply with the published competition rules, movement standards, workout instructions, equipment requirements, time limits, judging decisions, and scoring procedures.
Failure to meet a movement standard may result in a no-rep, penalty, score adjustment, disqualification, or other consequence provided by the competition rules.
Competition scores may be recorded by judges, officials, timing systems, scoring personnel, or approved digital tools.
Results may be provisional until they have been reviewed and verified. CrossFit254 or the organiser may correct:
- Data-entry errors.
- Incorrect athlete assignments.
- Timing or scoring errors.
- Penalties or judging adjustments.
- Other confirmed competition-result errors.
Final verified results will be treated as the official competition record, subject to any formal appeal or review procedure provided by the organiser.
Score queries or appeals must be submitted using the procedure and within the time limit announced for the relevant competition.
Late, unsupported, abusive, or improperly submitted appeals may not be considered. The organiser's final decision will apply after the review process has been completed.
CrossFit254 is committed to fair competition. Athletes must not manipulate scores, provide false eligibility information, use another person's identity, interfere with judges, or engage in dishonest conduct.
Suspected misconduct may be investigated and may result in penalties, disqualification, removal of results, suspension, or exclusion from future events.
CrossFit254 events may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, recorded, or reported by organisers, photographers, sponsors, media partners, or authorised content creators.
Event images and recordings may be used for competition coverage, results, highlights, historical records, social media, promotional materials, sponsorship reports, and future event marketing, subject to applicable consent and privacy requirements.
Spectator access may be subject to ticket requirements, venue capacity, security checks, age restrictions, prohibited items, opening hours, and event rules.
CrossFit254 may deny entry or remove any person whose conduct creates a safety, security, operational, or behavioural concern.
Applications to act as a volunteer, judge, official, media representative, or event worker do not guarantee selection.
Appointments may depend on experience, qualifications, availability, training, conduct, operational needs, and organiser approval.
